On April 28, 1999 we had the first of our 1999 foals. My Hal-Amiga had a blue black colt with a star by El Nigadin. Magnum Witez BA has been sold to Medina, ND. My Hal-Amiga has been sold to Arlington, WA. We have retained her black 1995 daughter, Mychaela Witez BA for our future broodmare band.
Later in the afternoon the same day, Dama Witez had a black colt with just a faint star by El Nigadin. Damon Witez BA has been sold to Hawkinsville, GA. We have retained Dama's 1995 black daughter, Dana Witez BA for our future broodmare band. Dama Witez is due to foal April 25, 2000. Her foal will be offered for sale.
Lady Briquette, who is leased in MT, had a black filly with a left rear fetlock, by El Nigadin on May 8, 1999. We will be retaining Latte Witez BA. We already have her black 1996 full sister, Leelani Witez BA retained for our future broodmare band. Lady Briquette is due to foal May 10, 2000; her foal is already spoken for. These are the only two foals we will be having in the year 2000.
Genesis Kohli had a liver colt by El Nigadin on June 15, 1999. Nickohli Witez BA has been sold in Mandan, ND. This liver colt is out of a twenty year old black mare and by our late twenty year old blue black stallion. We have retained a black 1996 daughter, Klassi Witez BA out of Kohli by Ladin Witez BA, a black son of El Nigadin, out of Lady Briquette, for our future broodmare band.
SS Tasha, who is in NE had a black filly with a star on July 19, 1999 by a black grandson of our late blue black El Nigadin. A black son of his black son, LR Kailai Witez, who is a Champion Cutting Horse. Surprise Free is a black stallion, out of a Count Niga daughter. We retained Tianna Witez BA for our future broodmare band. Since we have decided to do this, we offered her 1997 black half sister, Trixi Witez BA by El Nigadin for sale.
WE HAVE SOLD TRIXI WITEZ BA, BECAUSE WE FIGURED WE ONLY NEEDED TO KEEP SIX FILLIES, NOT SEVEN. Trixi is by the late blue black stallion, El NIGADIN who sired the 1993 Champion Snaffle-Bit Maturity Cutting Horse. Her dam SS TASHA, is a beautiful NITEZ, *RAFFLES and *RASEYN bred black mare. Trixi is a double great-granddaughter of Nitez, through both her sire and dam. Trixi will be leaving for her new home in Lakebay, WA in the near future.
We lost our blue black El Nigadin in June. El Nigadin, hopefully will have three 2000 foals, bringing his lifetime total to 79. So far 30 of his foals have been black and 41 fillies. El Nigadin had a Palomino filly out of a Half Arabian/Half Mustang Palomino mare this year. Their palomino mare is due to foal also for 2000, they are hoping for another just like her.
In the year 2000, we are continuing on to the Next Generation with El Nigadin's four black daughters, black granddaughter, and black great-granddaughter. Four will be old enough to breed next year. The other two are 1999 black fillies. They will be breed to: our 1997 solid black roan colt, SERYA DJ WITEZ, who this year was only two years old on the 29th of June. DJ HAS SEVEN CLOSE UP LINES TO *WITEZ II IN HIS FIRST SIX GENERATIONS OF HIS PEDIGREE. DJ IS A *WITEZ II PRESERVATION ARABIAN WITH 29.7% *WITEZ II BLOOD.
We're extremely happy to have all three of our 1999 colts sold. Hope all three turn out well. Also happy about having two black 1999 fillies foaled this year. We have sold six of our 17 horses this year. Our 1980 bay purebred Arabian gelding, Willie N Waylon was sold in July to a 74 year old lady, a professional trainer, who teaches Dressage, also hunter/jumper in Fargo, ND. We stopped in Fargo, ND on our vacation to see the lady who brought our purebred bay Arabian gelding, Willie this summer. They are really doing well together, and both seem to love each other.
BHR Hosans Fancy Face, our black tobiano 1993 IAHA Pinto mare has completed her first 13 mile Novice Competitive Trail Ride on 7-31-1999, placing third with 24 horses. She also made two trips to the North Dakota Badlands in August. She did fantastic. Fancy has a very wonderful long strided walk and trot.
